If I wanted to kill you there would be nothing you could do to fight. There is «passive mode» with basically makes you a ghost. You can’t shoot or do most missions in this mode, but you also can’t be easily killed.

The only thing to keep in mind is that online can be brutal other players going after you ‘because’ and is somewhat unforgiving make the wrong choices wrt properties and you could be in a money sink. It’s true that it can be quite the grind to get things going for yourself, but on the other hand that also has its charms IMO.

If you don’t expect to be able and buy a new supercar every day you should be good. If you play your cards right, you can get decent in-game money in multiplayer without spending real life money, but you gotta be smart about it.
